Violence against children
is 100% preventable.
Violence hinders children’s brain development, threatens their emotional connections and, of course, harms them physically. Our child protection work involves supporting children, families and communities to access quality prevention and response services where they are. We also work at the local and national levels to strengthen nationwide child protection systems as a way of building sustainable and comprehensive protection for children. The good news is that violence against children is completely preventable. At ChildFund, we’re committed to helping create a world where it no longer happens.
Our child protection advocacy and programmatic work seeks to make the internet a safer place for children everywhere.
We work with our local partners within communities to address the root causes of violence against children and youth.

Did you know that when a child has been sexually abused, they usually tell a friend first? Learn how our #MyFriendToo website helps friends support friends to report abuse.
Too often, violence against children is perpetuated by generational cycles of abuse within families and communities. A ChildFund program in Cambodia is working to change that.
With child trafficking on the rise in conflict-affected Ethiopia, a ChildFund program is supporting children and youth to know their rights and stay safe.
The #TakeItDown campaign is a U.S.-based advocacy effort led by ChildFund to fight online sexual abuse and the proliferation of child sexual abuse imagery by pressuring the U.S. Congress to act against the technology companies who allow this imagery to spread on their platforms. Since its launch, #TakeItDown has helped grow bipartisan support in the U.S. legislature, it has given voice to multitudes of survivors and parents and has spurred Congress to finally start to act to keep kids safe online.
